Product Description Our Slow Match is made from 100% cotton rope soaked in a special blend of natural additives to ensure slow steady burning of match in wind or even light rain. This Slow Match comes with a Brass Suffer. The Snuffer allows you to easily snuff your match by pulling the rope into the snuffer and placing a finger on the end smothering the ember. This effectively creates char for your next lighting attempt and protects the char from damage in your fire kit. To use simply extend the match a 1/4” out of snuffer and hold against your flint as you would with a piece of char cloth. Strike flint with steel directing sparks onto the match. Match will catch the spark and turn to ember. Use to ignite tinder bundles or brimstone matches. Snuff ember leaving match ready for next use.
